How to report an error
We rely on authoritative sources for our educational content, but rules and dollar figures change and mistakes can happen. If you find information on AskSteveFirst that appears inaccurate, out of date, or misleading, please tell us which page it is on, what you believe is incorrect, and, where possible, a link to a current source that supports the correction.
How corrections are handled
Each report is reviewed by our editorial team against the sources cited on that page and, where relevant, against the original government or court source. If the report is confirmed, we update the page as soon as practical. If a correction materially changes the meaning of the page, we may also note when it was last updated. We do not publish corrections we cannot verify against a reliable source.
